The Stories God Uses
Once upon a time there was a man who was born in a hospital and lived with his mom and dad who had no problems. He was a great athlete and student. He got along with everyone as a child. He made it to college on a full scholarship. He got a job as a risk management consultant for an insurance company in Nashville. He stayed there for 45 years and got a 2.5 % pay increase every year and...
You are Unique
Remember…
You’re the only one on the Earth
That could ever, at all, be you!
Your story is different your mind is unique
In all that you say and do.
I really believe we could change the world
As long as we are who we are.
Choosing to be the authentic YOU
Is better than masks by far!
The task is gigantic. The mission extreme
We can’t do it all alone.
God wants you to be who He made you...

From Exile to Restoration
There comes a time in the life of most leaders when you feel like you are in exile. People don’t understand you. You feel like you are in the wrong place and the wrong time. The exiled soul longs for divine restoration.
We desire to restore a church to true worship, triumphing over senseless controversies regarding instruments, style and context that so often bring bondage to a...
I Need You More: Prayer intro to the Song
Lord, knowing that you have good gifts that will carry us through every challenge we have as believers, reminds us how much we need you. I’m tired of trying to do things in my own strength. It’s futile. Every aspect of my life says, “I need you more” I need more of your power, I need more of your grace. And I boldly say whatever it is you have for me, I want it. And I don’t care what it...

The Chihuahua version of the Book of Judges
Monday: My master keeps me inside a fence. He’s so limiting. There are lots of other dogs I’d love to meet, there’s a whole world I could conquer by myself. I’m sure there’s better food out there. I’ve smelled the deliciousness of the garbage from our neighbors yard. There’s SO MUCH TO SMELL OUR THERE!! But I hate this fence. Maybe if I bark all night and chew up his lawn chairs, he’ll let...

Today's Humor: Battle of Wits and Dog Update
Our new Dog is Arthor. Golden Retriever. Very smart. Just a delightful dog. He hasn’t barked once and he loves the basement. The only problem so far is I haven’t seen him poop! Maybe he’s shy. I search the basement for a long time and I don’t see or smell anything. Hopefully we’ll solve the mystery today. I love this video. Made me smile this morning ...

hopefully tomorrow… to Louisiana. I’m planning on getting the car tuned up before I go. I don’t know what tomorrow will hold- timing wise. I all depends on the tuning. Nathan got a guitar. The Christmas Bells
Christmas bells are solemn, still
Resting in the father’s will
Then rings the chorus strong and true
Of all that Christ would suffer through
The echoes of a silent night
Remind us of angelic flight
And when they echo down to earth
Underscoring Jesus’ birth,
we also hear a darker tone
When Jesus suffered all alone.
Mocked and broken, disciples fled
The holy blood on wood was shed

Change
There are some who prefer their comfortable pew Their ruts of worship and their old habits too Some won’t carry the cross of our king More concerned about comfort and the songs that we sing. Some are lost in a maze of struggle for power While the millions untold face this final hour. Some cling to the past and refuse to obey They’ll never agree no matter what you will say. They refuse...

Finished the Script's first draft
Lord, thank you for a productive day despite all the weird and scary things I’m facing tonight. I hope I can get some sleep. Worked out just now and I’ve got an early flight.
One of the things I've learned to do
is to say goodbye. I’ve seen many church members leave. It never gets easier…
They are calling for our flight
The plane is here early so I probably won’t get to finish downloading a show for the flight.
