God open our heart to Your Word. We confess that many times we are distracted by the carnival of pleasure, wealth, and amusement. Jesus Christ son of God- deliver us. Deliver us from our self-saving tendencies, the lies that tell us that we are all alone on this journey. Speak truth into the desert places. Those dry and empty places that cause us to doubt your love and care for us. Some of us are exhausted, others of us have broken hearts, some of us bring lots of joy into this room while other have a burden of grief. So this is my prayer: Father God come into our lives and wreck us. Yes wreck our pride, our sence of independence, our stubborn will, our finite understand of our present circumstance and lust for more things.
We speak against the enemy and all the strategies of distraction, unbelief, hopelessness, fear, addictions, and pride. And by the blood of Jesus God’s only Son we enter into this time of teaching and pray that you will do what only you can do. We revel in the victory of the cross and now open our body, mind, heart and soul to you.
